Hi everyone, my name is Izzy and sometimes, I feel like I don't know anything.
🎓 I am a rising senior at UC Berkeley currently studying Economics, but please don't ask me anything about which stocks to invest invest in because interestingly enough, that's not something I learn in my major.
I was born in China, raised in Colorado, spent my gap year and college breaks in New Mexico, and currently reside in the Bay Area. I started my Medium page in the midst of the pandemic, planning on writing about all the life lessons I was to learn during my gap year from UC Berkeley—if you check out my page, that clearly didn't happen.
I am here now, hopeful to start writing again. My main motivation for restarting my journey on Medium is to prove to myself that I do know things. Recently I've felt as if I don't have any expertise or advice to share with others. But a conversation with my roommate this morning (about how no one teaches you that, in order to get the bus driver to stop, you need to actually pull the wire cable) reminded me that even the simplest things need to be shared because there might be someone, maybe just one person, who would appreciate knowing. 🫡
On this page, I plan on discussing lessons and stories from college, all things internship related (I've had 6 within my 3 years in college thus far), and general life topics that concern a 20-something girl just starting out her career and finishing up her "best 4 years of life".
Please hang along for the ride! 🚴🏼♀️
